The Personal Finance Genie has been making the rounds on PF blogs.
It all started when Adam from Your Money Relationship posted about the genie visiting his site. You can see what Adam used his wishes for as well as a comprehensive list of blogs who also posted their 3 Do-Overs.

My 3 Wishes
Since I’m married and most all of the income comes from the Mr. this is tough, but I’ll give it a try. All my wishes involve using a time machine to go back in time and convince myself not to make these 3 mistakes. Maybe I watched Back To the Future (and its’ sequels) too many times, but the only way I would have changed these mistakes is some shocking future/past showdown.
1) I wouldn’t have taken a “break” from college. Yes, I did learn a lot in my year off, but if I had continued to go to school I would have only had a year left when our first child was born, something I could easily done part-time over the next few years. Mom, Dad you were right. Someday I may go back, but I don’t know how I’d find the time right now.
2) I would go back to the time we paid off all our debt, and cut up the credit cards and close the accounts that we still had open.
3) I would have kicked myself in the head when I found an open credit card account I had no idea existed. Instead of closing it we maxed it out on emergencies, and stuff we didn’t need.
