in money

UPDATE! It’s been fixed! Apple replaced the glass in the backroom. SO, so thrilled.

I broke my iPhone today. I dropped it on the floor. That has happened MANY times, but I dropped it directly on the front on a tile floor. My puny case did nothing to protect it.

It’s hard to see in the picture, but it has a long crack that goes diagonally from the top left to the bottom right.  Yes, it still works!

My Christmas present may be fixing it.

I’m planning a visit to the Apple store tonight, and if they won’t fix it I’ll call my credit card company. You do know credit cards offer automatic protection, right? Check with your credit card for specific details.

This is not the case where I can live with my iPhone, not that I ever could, it’s like my right hand.

Stay tuned.

Kelly

Oh no! While I'm honored my Tweet was on screen while your phone was dropped, I'm so sad for you that the phone is cracked. I read up on iPhone repairs before purchasing an iPhone, finding out that the screens are really expensive to fix. However, I did read that if you have just a single crack (not a splintered one) they might replace it for free under the warranty, just don't fess up to dropping it. I had a blackberry a while back that cracked even though I didn't drop it… so it's possible.
