Week 2 was tough at first, but easier once I got in the swing of things. I’ve also started putting out fresh veggies before mealtimes. That way they get a few servings of raw veggies before dinner.

1/4/10 Pizza, garlic bread, salad
1/5/10 Chicken, stir fry, jasmine rice, and raw veggies for the non-stir fry loving crew
1/6/10 Nachos (tortilla chips, ground beef, cheese, lettuce, guac, salsa)
1/7/10 Fish, rice, salad, peas (no one liked them) Hubby and I had steak and a baguette after the kids went to bed (and I went to the store).
1/8/10 Turkey, baked potatoes, salad
1/9/10 Birthday boy wanted pizza so we bought it from his fav pizza place. (see my exceptions)
1/10/10 Clean out the fridge night: We’ll be dining on leftovers. It should be quite a feast.

Pizza at the beginning of the week was made with our special family pizza dough recipe.

Next week will be even easier. The fridge is stocked with healthy food, and I’m pumped to try some new ideas.

How much did you eat out this week? Find any family pleasing recipes you want to share?

I am doing the same thing on a new blog in an effort to keep myself accountable for cooking at home! I would love to swap recipes and thoughts!

Thanks for sharing your recipe – I've been looking for a good wheat dough recipe! It's amazing …all the benefits of home cooking! I made a great one last night – even the little one cleaned her plate!

Turkey Meatballs with Quick And Spicy Tomato Sauce and Whole-Wheat Spaghetti Recipe- http://bit.ly/7HUnll
(I substituted ground chicken, and it was awesome!) Leftovers are fabulous today too!

We (meaning me) also do a lot of cooking at home in an effort to save money. Here's a recipe I tried recently and LOVED. And it was really easy and really quick which made it even better!

Looks delicious! Sadly I am allergic to shrimp, but I could use it as a springboard for a shrimpless recipe. Thanks!
