Basically Money Review

Basically Money is a website that I was introduced to last year. You may have noticed the ad in my sidebar on the far right, and wondered what it was. The premise is very simple.

The site was designed to help you ask questions about personal and family finance: saving money, spending wisely, investing, borrowing, taxes, and so much more.

It is 100% FREE to join, and participate. There are no annoying ads that get in your way, and no fluff.

The best answers and questions get voted “up” by members of the site. Members can earn reputation points and badges for participating, asking detailed questions, and providing helpful answers. The more you participate, the more reputation points you earn!

Here are several sample questions:

One of the unique things about Basically Money is that you can provide feedback directly to the staff! There is a helpful email box on the sidebar that shares an email address where any questions or concerns can be answered.

I love community sites like this that allow you to both share your knowledge as well as learn new things. I would love to know what you think. Would you use Basically Money to answer all your burning money questions?
