Chocolate Indulgence giveaway from Oikos

August 26, 2010

in giveaway

One of my favorite indulgences is greek yogurt. You can buy it in non and low fat versions so you can satisfy your desire for something creamy without all the fat. It’s become such a popular snack and breakfast food that Stonyfield has started offering various versions of Greek yogurt, under their brand Oikos.

The latest addition is by far my favorite. A 4 pack of mini containers of non fat Chocolate and Caramel greek yogurt. The PERFECT treat when you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to overdo it.

For me, this is something I love to indulge in after a busy day, including a workout. I don’t want to negate all the calories I lost working out-but sometimes I just have to have something to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Oikos sent me coupons for free containers, and I was thrilled to try them out. I have to say I thought the caramel and chocolate might taste a little odd, but since Oikos doesn’t use any chemicals or additives, it tasted like REAL chocolate and caramel.

I even talked my notoriously picky 6 year old into trying it and she gave it the side thumb. She thinks it’s ok, but I’m secretly happy that she doesn’t love it-more for me!

I’d try the caramel and chocolate with some fiber one mixed together. That would be interesting.

    Mmmm…..chocolate!

Sometimes I add cocoa powder to sweetened fruit-flavored yogurt (which is actually too sweet for me; the cocoa makes it just right), and sometimes I also add dry oatmeal for fiber.
