After much debating my husband and I recently decided to buy an iPad 2. We waffled and waited so we had trouble finding one, but thankfully a local store had them in stock and tweeted it (have I professed my love for twitter lately?) and off I went to buy.
It’s our first iPad, and while it was definitely NOT a need, it’s been a great addition to the technology in our house. While it’s not a frugal purchase, I feel that it’s super important that we reward ourselves for good financial behavior on occasion to keep our motivation to pay down our debt and save high.
Everyone loves an iPad
We bought it right before leaving on a trip, and it came in so handy on the long car ride to and from Florida. While I haven’t had the opportunity to try it out ‘on the road’ I look forward to taking it along to conferences and events to help me stay connected without lugging my laptop around. So far our favorite app has been Settlers of Catan-a digital version of a board game we really enjoy. We played on the road, and after the kids went to bed (a great way to connect and entertain us while the kids were sleeping in the same room at Disney).
