Keeping Warm for Fall:Fashion Friday

It’s getting chilly outside in Pennsylvania now. A standard Facebook status from now-March will say, “I’m so over being cold.” As soon as the temps drop below 65 degrees my hands and feet get cold almost permanently. They usually only feel warm right after I take a shower, or when I’m holding on to a warm cup of tea or coffee (this also leads to being overly caffeinated though).

I’m gearing up for the cold weather with lots of sweaters, mittens, and a new coat. I’ve been doing some browsing online in the evenings trying to come up with some ways to get the most warmth for my budget.

Even better, no matter what you’re looking for you can now find a coupon code from major retailers here at the Centsible Life with my Savings.com Coupon page! All you do is input the store you want, and wah-la! Instant savings.

Most major retailers offer coupon codes, and many have multiple codes so you can pick and choose what works best for you.

For instance I found these adorable pieces at Banana Republic. (shoes from Piperlime, gloves are a splurge but could likely be found way cheaper elsewhere) Adding it up and using a coupon code I could save an additional 25% off, get free shipping, etc.

I love how easy it is to find great sales and then stack a coupon if you’re shopping online. Even better, you can also find coupons for in store shopping as well if you’re like me and need to try it before you buy it.

Find more sweaters on sale at Gap in the widget below and stack with a coupon or your surprise sale discount for an awesome deal.

When it comes to coats, I’m looking for a few. I have two dress coats, and am looking for a lighter weight fall coat, and a new winter coat that’s all weather.

I love this classic field coat from Land’s End. It’s warm, country chic, and perfect for the fall.

I’m partial to puffy coats for winter, and love this adorable coat (though I prefer a fun color to a plain black coat). I’m also partial to something with a bit of length since I have a long torso and hate exposing my back to snow and wind when it’s wintertime.

I also have a deep love for gloves that are fingertipless (yes, it’s a word!). I’m partial to these adorable hand knitted convertible mittens on Etsy. Fingerless gloves leave my fingers cold, so this is perfect for my cold typing hands.

What do you wear to keep warm without giving up your style?

I have a similar coat to the Land’s Ends that I purchased at Old Navy. It wasn’t very expensive. The Etsy gloves are super cute, but so expensive. I’m not willing to splurge on gloves because I tend to lose them. I found similar ones at Target and they cost be $10.
