Hello!
My name is Kelly Kinkaid, and I am the newest addition invited to be part of The Centsible Life. I am the founder and creator of Kellyology, a personal blog that explores social media, stretching a dollar, fitness, and living a life well lived in Oklahoma. I have been blogging since 2006, and have been active in social media since about 2004, the year I stopped having to use a dial-up connection.
Other than being a writer at several websites, my roles include but are not limited to
- soccer, basketball, swimmer, band, and piano mom
- wife to a rabid Oklahoma State University Cowboys fan and C.P.A.
- a runner who is training for her first half marathon
- the woman who is actively attempting to and is sometimes successful at ruining her children’s short lives (a.k.a. a mother to tweens)
I am also the daughter of one very frugal mother who was raised by her own very frugal parents who were raised by their very frugal parents. To say that my family is tight with money would be an understatement. But many years ago I married a man who did not come from a similar background. Together we created a life and found a balance. Now I am proud to say that we live a life more luxurious than my family did, but we have figured out how to do it for a lot less money than the average family. As a person who thinks everybody deserves to live the good life, I started sharing my tips about how to manage and save money on Kellyology, and now I will be continuing to share them here on The Centsible Life with Kelly Whalen.
