Shopping Online Just Got Easier with V.Me {sponsored}

Shopping online is the best. You can stay in your pajamas, find a massive selection of options, and do it anytime and from almost anywhere! While I do love shopping in stores too, there’s something to be said for finding exactly what you want online, and usually it’s cheaper than if you shop in store. There’s also something to be said for the time you saved getting dressed and driving to and from the store (or stores in some case!). You can easily fill up that time with blog reading. ;)

Now shopping online is even easier, especially for those of us who lament that are wallets are WAY across the room, or even all the way on another floor of our homes.

V.Me by Visa is a service designed to make shopping online easier by storing your credit card or debit card information for easy purchasing from select retailers.

Why should you use V.Me?

First and foremost you do not have to use a Visa card, you can use any credit or debit card including Visa, Discover, MC and American Express when shopping with V.Me.

Secondly you can enter multiple credit card accounts with V.Me. That way if you use a specific card for different types of purchases you will be able to easily switch from one card to another. For me this works especially well when I get extra cash rewards on a category of purchases, or I need to make a business purchase online.

Lastly, while computers typically have the ability to ‘save’ credit card data it’s a worrying feature if you computer or laptop gets hacked or stolen. I’m always wary of using any feature that would allow anyone access to sensitive information.

My Experience with V.Me

To start you need to set up an account. It’s simple enough. I just went to V.Me.com to sign up.

Next, I entered my card info. You can add just one card, or multiple cards. I chose to enter just one (for now).

Then I explored the dashboard a bit. I read up on Alerts which can notify me by text message when a purchase is made, amounts, and all kinds of custom info.

Finally I added a few additional addresses to my shipping ‘address book’.

Now I was ready to shop! I perused a list of sites that use V.Me as a payment method and immediately went to check out a few sites for holiday gifts. While I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for, I did stumble onto something *I* wanted. Isn’t that always the way?

I am in need of a pair of slip-ons for the winter months that don’t ‘show’ toe. It doesn’t need to be fancy (I have plenty of those), but I need something I can pop on to go get the mail or take a quick trip to school with a forgotten lunch.

I found what I was looking for on Shoebuy.com–a Minnetoka slip-on. It’s comfy, a little fun, and has a casual vibe I just love.

So after the holiday I headed back to Shoebuy to see if there were any after holiday sales. As luck would have it I found one that saved my 20% on my shoes!

After I added the shoes to my cart and proceeded to checkout I logged into my V.Me account and the rest is history!

With V.Me checkout was easy, and I was done in a few short clicks. Maybe it’s a little too easy. ;)

Do you prefer to shop online? Will you use V.Me to streamline your checkout process?
