We’re in for another busy week, so I’m grateful that we have Monday ‘off’ so I have an extra day to prep for the weekly madness of juggling family and work. :)

This week I’m also starting a DietBet, so in addition to weighing in, I’ll be tracking calories with my favorite app LoseIt! and adding regular exercise to the mix this week.

To help my chances I plan to make a big pot of soup to have for lunches all week long. It will help fill me up on healthy calories, and allow me to focus on getting stuff done instead of the age old ‘what to eat for lunch’ question.

Sunday: Broiled salmon, spinach salad, and homemade garlic bread.

Last Week’s Recap:

Monday:Chicken wings, super fries, salad, and fruit salad.
Chicken wings are my new food obsession. I only tried them for the first time a few weeks ago (I know, right?). My homemade wings turned out so yummy! I’ll have to share the recipe after I perfect it.

Tuesday: I’ll be in New York for the day, so it’s Dad’s night for dinner. :)
The kiddos ate before I got home, and thanks to a late lunch in NYC I just had a quick snack before conking out on the couch.

Wednesday:Taco night!
The kids always eat this up, and thankfully it’s a quick and easy meal since we had a busy evening.

Thursday: Perfect chicken breasts, rice, salad with apples, and honey roasted carrots.
Instead of cooking I went into my husband’s work to help him pack up his desk, and then headed out to a much needed dinner out with a group of the Philly Social Media Moms. We treated the kids to Five Guys since there was no time to cook.

Friday-Sunday:
Instead of the meals I planned we drove to Grandma’s house (Nana actually) who fed us all weekend long. (Thanks Mom!)

My kids always love brinner! I love it now because they can help. DS9 is good at cooking the sausage and making the flapjacks. DS7 likes to make the flapjacks.
