365 Day Meal Plan: Week of February 4th Menu

I feel like February is the longest month of the year even if it’s the shortest. The cold weather makes me want to hibernate! Too bad life doesn’t agree with me.

In the spirit of keeping things super simple I’m taking it easy in the meal department. This also helps since we are currently without a working dishwasher (saving up my pennies for a new one), so all our dishes have to be washed by hand. I know it’s a first world problem, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it!

Recap of January 28th Menu

Monday:Pancakes and fruit salad.
The 7 and 8 year old were my helpers tonight. They love to make pancakes!

Tuesday: Taco night!
See Wednesday night’s meal instead. ;)

Wednesday: Roasted chicken legs, roasted potatoes, a large salad, and cornbread.
It was Emma’s birthday, and she opted for taco night instead, so I switched these two meals up.

Thursday: Clean out the fridge night.
Pork chops, taco meat, salad, and a side of whatever else we could find=an easy meal.

Friday: Homemade pizzas, salad, and garlic bread.
Instead we had date night, and the babysitters (my parents-thanks!) had takeout pizza with the kiddos.

Saturday:Takeout. We have a robotics event all day, so to keep me sane we’ll be picking up takeout on the way home.
We ate out at Cosi for a fast and simple dinner before heading home to collapse after a long day.

Sunday: Super bowl party buffet.
We had a LOT of yummy food, and a ton of veggies with a side of chicken wings.

We’re doing clean out the fridge night tonight! Though I may need to make some meat for my meat-loving dh.

Our d/w is on its way out. It’s not cleaning as well as it used to. I keep cleaning the filter and checking the sprayer arms, though that only helps a little.

We always end up with a little leftover meat, whether it’s a chicken breast or hamburger meat I can usually make it work.
