March 11th Menu Plan: 365 Day Meal Plan

March 11, 2013

in 365 Days of Homecooking,Food

Despite a predicted snowstorm that netted us rain, and a few snow showers this week we ended with a lovely weekend so I spent a lot of time outside with the kiddos. Add in daylight savings time,  and a very special 9th birthday today, and I’m getting this up a bit late. The point of a meal plan is to make and use the plan, even if I do so a bit late in the day.

March 11th Menu

Monday: Audrey’s 9th birthday! On the kid’s birthdays they get to pick their favorite meal, so she picked brinner. French toast, fruit, sausage, and bacon are on the menu.

Tuesday: Pork chops and applesauce. (sorry I couldn’t resist) I’ll also serve a side salad and mashed sweet potatoes. I make mine with butter and maple syrup. YUM.

Wednesday: Tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, and salad.

Thursday: Perfect chicken, cornbread, salad, and fresh fruit salad.

Recipes: Perfect Chicken Breasts.

Friday: Homemade pizzas, salad, and garlic bread.

Recipes: Homemade pizza doughgluten-free pizza.

Saturday: Clean out the fridge night.

Sunday: Sirloin steaks, cheesy mashed potatoes, green beans, and a side salad.

March 4th Menu Recap

Monday: Pancakes and bacon with a side of fruit salad.

Nom nom.

Tuesday: Taco night.

In addition to pre-making a spice mix for taco nights I started pre-making guacamole and freezing it! Makes it so much easier, and as long as you have a little lemon or lime juice it won’t be brown when it defrosts.

Wednesday: Pork chops and applesauce, side salad, and cornbread.

It was a bust night so instead we had leftovers.

Thursday: Perfect chicken, cornbread, salad, and fresh fruit salad.

I switched this to Friday night. We had chicken legs instead.

Friday: Homemade pizzas, salad, and garlic bread.

My favorite!

Saturday: Clean out the fridge night.

Another weird night of sides, and perfect chicken to keep it balanced.

Sunday: Wok night! Chicken, onions, peppers, carrots, and more. Sides of rice and salad.

Leftovers again!

What’s on your menu this week?
