See Mom Run Book

Last Thursday I had the pleasure of spending most of the day with local bloggers to help celebrate the launch of Beth Feldman’s (RoleMommy.com) new book, “See Mom Run: Side Splitting Essays from the world’s most harried moms.”

First we were treated to fitness classes and a tour of Tennis Addiction in Exton. I was surprised to find such a nice and affordable gym so close to my house. The space was fantastic, and no need to be a tennis pro to join. They have a $35/month fitness club membership that I have on my wish list for the holidays.

Later in the evening (after a stop at home for some mom and kid time) we were treated to a makeover at Calista Grand Salon and Spa. I got to be the makeup model, and Kate not only transformed me, but showed everyone how to achieve the same look at home. Gina showed us a few ways to dress up our hair easily.

Acme also attended the event, and shared ideas to make the holidays easier, and some yummy treats from their bakery department.

For photos check out the whrrl event I created.

Beth treated us to 2 readings from the book, and a hilarious song that she wrote herself. The book is hilarious. It’s split up into bite sized essays, so I have been reading it here and there. It’s especially handy to pull out when I’m having a pull-my-hair-out moment as a mom. I can comfort myself with laughter.

Big thanks to Sarah and Shannon from Chester County Moms for organizing the event, and inviting me!
