With the holidays just around the corner, and holiday spending looming earning a little extra cash is a a savvy way to keep from digging into savings or going into debt. Over the next few weeks I’ll share a few ways you can earn extra cash.
One of the best ways to earn extra money is to sell things you no longer need. It’s a great way to clear up clutter, make way for the new, and earn some money.
While I’ve sold items on eBay occasionally (old iPhones, designer goods, and kid’s items) the website always required that I do a multi-step process for photos including taking photos on a digital camera (or my phone), uploading, and then editing them on my computer, and finally uploading them to eBay.
eBay just launched a new app, and while I have sold on eBay in the past the app makes the process super simple. It took me literally 10 minutes to take photos, write my description, and upload my items for sale.
With the app it’s so much easier to get a listing up since smartphones have everything you need to make the process painless. It even verifies the listing and tells you how much it will cost you prior to completing the listing. Gotta love how simple the app makes it to list.
Suggested items to sell on eBay:
- Popular toys like Thomas or Playmobil (used or new)
- Designer Goods (used or new shoes, handbags, and clothing)
- Home Decor (Pottery Barn for instance)
- Used Books
The list is literally endless! Before you sell check current auctions, and check closed listings to see final sale prices. This will give you an idea of how much something costs, and how much people are willing to pay.
