My favorite frugal meal is beans and rice – the Dave Ramsey staple! I love black beans and saffron rice, and it's amazingly one of the few things my kids will actually eat. Hurray!
Brown rice, black beans, red peppers, and grilled chicken.
I will usually put some cayenne powder in the rice to give it a little kick (love spicy food!). I’ll also marinate the chicken with a hot sauce.
You can make 3+ meals worth for less than $5.

Frugal meal (this time of year): White bean butternut soup with bacon and fresh bread from the bread machine.
My favorite frugal meal is taco salad: some ground beef, some beans, some lettuce, some cheese, taco sauce and seasonings. Just had this last night!
Mm, poached eggs on English muffins, topped with cheese and tomatoes.

I shop at Genaurdis and would LOVE to win this! My favorite frugal meal is to make enchiladas using whatever meat is leftover from a previous meal.

Soft tacos: tortillas, ground beef w/ taco seasoning, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce and salsa.
