Wow, yesterday was quite the day at the ¢entsible life!
I had guest post on 2 blogs, and was picked up be a major blog, which in turn was picked up by another blog.
To say it was a good day is a bit of an understatement.
First up is Wisebread where I mentioned yesterday I had a guest post, called “Can You Survive with One Car in Suburbia?”. There are some great comments, so be sure to read them all.
Next came a nod to my Kids and Allowance post at the Consumerist. The Consumerist is one of the blogs I always read, so to say I’m excited doesn’t convey the message. I’m ecstatic!
That was picked up by a blog called Neatorama (cool site!), and many of their users have come over and read here. (welcome!)
Lastly, I had a guest post, “Daycare VS. Stay at Home: A Mom’s Perspective,” at Bargaineering. This is a topic that is often fraught with emotion, but I tried to break down all the conflicting emotions and issues parents face when making this decision.
This was on top of a fabulous weekend where I went to NYC to attend a Personal Finance Bloggers Meetup hosted by Flexo from Consumerism Commentary, Turbo Tax, and Quicken. We had a fantastic dinner at Mercer Kitchen, and I loved meeting almost everyone.
In attendance were:
-Dan from Everyday Finance and Darwin’s Finance: I barely got to talk to him, there’s always next time!
-Evan from My Journey to Millions: Evan has so much passion about what he writes about and was super helpful to me personally (more on that later).
- Shawanda from You Have More Than You Think: Love this girl, and her style. She looked gorgeous!
- Pinyo from Moolanomy : My new boss! It was lovely to meet him in person.
- Mapgirl from Mapgirl’s Fiscal Challenge: Funny, smart, and she has good taste!
- Jon from Betterment: I got to say hi to Jon, but we didn’t get to talk much. This is what comes from not changing seats mid way through the meal!
- Vilkri-He and Vilkri-She from Money Obedience: A wonderful couple, great to talk to them!
- Mary Pilon from the Wall Street Journal: Didn’t get to talk to her at all, since we were opposite ends of the table.
- Chelsea Marti and Ashley Kirkendall from Intuit: Both were extremely sweet, and it was a pleasure to meet them.
- Emily Johnston from TurboTax’s PR firm: Emily is a sweetheart, and I loved her dress.

My Posterous blog where I’m posting about my new diet and coming soon my exercise regimen.
My Whrrl story from this morning’s trip to Sun and Earth’s factory. A big thanks to Sun and Earth and Whole Foods Market in Devon for the great time! It was fabulous to meet Shannon from Chester County Moms, and Shannon (yes 2 Shannons!) from For the Mommas.
