We own 2 cats that were adopted from friends both of whom rescued the animals (one rescued a kitten, one a pregnant mother) who are happily living with us currently. We found a wonderful local organization that has wonderful animals to adopt but we did not meet their criteria. We also wanted the experience of raising a puppy for our 4 children. We plan to adopt again in the future once we meet the requirements of the local shelter we found. Thanks Cathy! :)
