Lately I’ve been feeling like I’ll never catch up, and my focus is all over the place. Add in a week that was crazy, and I feel like overcooked toast.
I’m taking Friday-Monday off. No email, no twitter, no foursquare, no Facebook, and no blogging. I know! I’ll be ok, I promise.
While I’m gone you might want to check out some of these great posts from around the web.
Jo Lynne wrote about the transition to the next stage of parenthood. I am nearly in the same shoes as her, and have been feeling all these overwhelming feelings of sadness and happiness and fear all tied together. I know now that it’s the transition. I’m so glad she could put words to what I feeling. By the way did you know my baby will be 5 soon and my oldest 13? That means no more figuring out how many fingers to hold up, and I will be the mother of a teenager. A teenager! That is SO scary.
If you want to stay on top of fashion trends and stay within your budget you should definitely stop by Melissa’s bStylish blog. It’s a treasure trove of advice and sales all wrapped in a pretty bow.
I loved reading about Julie’s adventure to NYC with her 7 year old in “If you give a 7 year old $100.” She talks about the pressure that happens when kids receive money-it’s so well written, it really captures what it feels like for a child, and how you can prevent it.
Want to learn how to turn your clutter into cash? Adam Baker has just the guide for you, and Adam knows his stuff. He and his wife sold all their belongings and moved to the other side of the world.
I recently joined the Money Mavens network of personal finance bloggers. Our goal is to support each other in our blogging efforts, so I hope you’ll take time to stop by their blogs on occasion. They are all great writers, but what’s fun is we all have different voices and topics we cover, so there really is something for everyone!
I’ll also be rebooting my The Centsible Show next week. Tune in Wednesdays at 1pm EST for your weekly dose of Centsible advice.
