Last week I participated in a conference call with the Motherhood and Maggie Fox the CEO of Climate Reality Project to discuss climate change. We learned about what we can do to understand climate change and how we can help make changes in our lives and effect change throughout the world.

It was a fascinating call, and I learned about 24 hours of Reality, a unique day-long event that focuses on climate change. I wanted to share both the details of 24 Hours of Reality and an upcoming twitter party that will kick off the event.
24 Hours Of Reality
24 Hours of Reality: The Cost of Carbon is The Climate Reality Project’s third annual broadcast of the award-winning 24 Hours of Reality Event and will create the world’s largest conversation about the cost of carbon pollution. The global, live-streamed multi-media event will broadcast live from Los Angeles beginning at 11 a.m. PDT on October 22nd through October 23rd.
During this year’s show, we will travel the world exploring six continents—Africa, Asia, North America, South America, Australia, and Europe—identifying the specific costs we are already paying for carbon pollution. Six hosts, one from each continent, will guide the segments. Along with former Vice President Al Gore, and President and CEO of The Climate Reality Project Maggie L. Fox, our hosts and guests will be a variety of international celebrities, scientists, economists, business leaders, and other experts who will help us explore the diverse impacts that climate change is having around the world and the associated costs.
The Climate Reality Project chairman and former Vice President Al Gore will be on hand during the Twitter party, and others from the organization will be tweeting with us from @ClimateReality to help us bring attention to the cause. They will also be sharing effective ways that we can all spread the word and cut back on carbon pollution in our own lives to help make a difference.

About The Climate Reality Project
The Climate Reality Project, founded and chaired by former Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore, is dedicated to unleashing a global cultural movement demanding action on the climate crisis. Despite overwhelming international scientific consensus on climate change, the global community still lacks the resolve to implement meaningful solutions. With a global movement more than 5 million and a grassroots network of Climate Reality Leaders trained by Chairman Al Gore, we stand up to denial, press for solutions, and spread the truth about climate change to empower our leaders to solve the climate crisis.
I hope you’ll participate in the event and the twitter party to learn more about climate change.
