This weekend I’m catching up on sleep and rest to hopefully knock the cold I’ve had for the last week or so. As much as I have to do sometimes you have to give into being sick and take care of yourself. Of course that led to a lot of downtime to read, so I’ve compiled some of my favorite posts from this week below.

Sunday Reads

Kid-Friendly Food
I’m always looking for new recipes to try with my family, so I was thrilled to see this list of a dozen kid-friendly recipes at EverydayFamily. I’m planning to try the brussel sprouts first.

Chocolate Popcorn
Speaking of recipes, this chocolate coconut popcorn on Untrained Housewife made on the stovetop sounds divine! Making popcorn on the stovetop is old school awesome, but it’s easy!

Benefits of Coconut Oil
Speaking of coconut oil, the health beenfits of coconut oil are pretty amazing. We may think of it as a cooking or baking oil, but you can also use it for cuts, scrapes, and moisturizing. The health and beauty benefits are outlined on MomPrepares.

4 Steps to Prep your Blog for the Holidays
If you have a blog, Melissa (MomComm) shares some great advice for prepping your blog for the holidays, so you can enjoy them without worrying. She also includes a free printable content calendar for the holidays-a great way to stay on track when things are busy.

How to use Google+
I admit I don’t spend as much time on G+ as other social networks, but this post on how to use G+{Musings of a Housewife} has me over there more. If you want to ‘circle’ me you can find me here.

My Magic+ Bands at Disney
Disney parks are introducing a new system called MyMagic+. It’s essentially a bracelet that acts as room key, park ticket, fast pass, and so much more. Julie (Juliverse) shares her family’s experience with the new system on her blog. She was one of select visitors who got to ‘test’ the system before it launches everywhere.

And now, it’s time for a nap. ;)
