How many times have you been caught not paying a bill on time? Whether it’s because you’re traveling, a bill got lost in the massive pile of mail, or you just plain forgot? <raises hand> I’ve been there, too.
Don’t get me wrong I love the bill payer service our credit union offers. I love, love, LOVE not having to get bills in the mail. I love paying bills online. But with all these different websites and bills to keep track of sometimes I miss one. Since then I’ve learned that nothing beats pen and paper. To make it easier to track our bills I created a bill checklist template. I add in our recurring monthly bills, leave space for that month’s unusual expenses, and check them off as they’re paid.
I introduced this checklist last year and many readers have found it helpful.
You can download the 2015 Bill Checklist template and input your own info or simply print it out and write all your details in by hand.

I use a three hole punch and put it in a binder I call my ‘brain’ (really a binder) which includes calendars, school info, and more.
Here’s hoping it helps you get more organized and not miss a single bill this year.
