Last week was a whirlwind of re-entry. I was so sick when I came home, but managed to recover (mostly) by Monday. Add in work, more work, soccer, field hockey, homework, and of course laundry and meals and it was a pretty exhausting week.
This week doesn’t promise to be any easier but at least I had the weekend off to get ready for the onslaught of stuff to do!

Week 36 Meal Recap
Monday:Perfect roasted chicken, sliced oranges, fries, and carrots.
If you follow me on twitter, Instagram, or Facebook you may have seen this text convo. My husband did fine with the chicken by the way. 😉
Tuesday: Sandwiches with fresh fruit and salad on the side.
I moved brinner to tonight since our schedule was different than I realized! Oops. Someday I’ll get it all straight.
Easy dinner, and everyone eats it without complaint so you see this every week because it’s a family fave.
Thursday: Brinner! French toast, fresh strawberries, smoothies, and coffee (of course).
Sandwiches-meh. But we had a busy night, so it was necessary.
Friday: Pizza night. Homemade pizza dough and top your own pizzas for everyone else, and gluten-free crust from Udi’s with my favorite toppings.
Dude, this week killed us. Re-entry and all that. I bought pizza for the fam ($14) and went out to dinner with Jo-Lynne. A lovely way to spend an evening. I had a beet salad and we split potato skins, and I drank my fave white wine, Torrontes.
Saturday: Clean out the fridge night. Every week we use this day to eat all the various leftovers we accumulate throughout the week. It makes for a hodge podge of a meal and saves us a ton of waste and money.
This night is always a little thrown together, but we actually had some meat leftover we needed to cook so we made both small portion strip steaks and lamb burgers. (Yes, that kind of lamb.)
Sunday: Pot roast cooked in the slow cooker, roasted potatoes, green beans, and side of salad.
Since we had to head to the airport at dinnertime, had a busy day, and I had to squeeze in grocery shopping I picked up pre-made chicken tenders from Wegman’s who have an awesome assortment of ready to eat meals.
Week 37 Meal Plan: Week of September 17th
Monday: Taco night with taco beef with tons of sides, including some Wholly Guacamole I picked up. It’s nearly as good as my homemade guac. 😉
Tuesday: Perfect roasted chicken with sides of spinach salad, grapes, and asparagus.
Wednesday: Spaghetti with choice of toppings, garlic bread, and spinach salad.
Thursday: Brinner-pancakes and bacon. Mmm, bacon.
Friday: Leftovers or takeout.
Saturday: Clean out the fridge night.
Sunday: Planning to try out Jo-Lynne’s pot roast recipe (with GF flour).
