As you may have noticed it’s been a bit quiet around these parts. I intentionally took time off near the holidays and over New Year’s, but fully intended on jumping back into Centsible Life with new ideas, new content, and lots of exciting developments in 2016. The break was wonderful, but when it came time to come back life got more than a little in the way.
What is it they say about the best laid plans? Yeah, that. For a number of reasons my time to write here has been limited. I won’t get into every little detail, because it is all pretty normal life stuff. Kids needing help, illness, injury, phone calls (ew), and just everyday life.
I’ll be honest my depression has certainly played a part in my break as well. It’s not always easy to keep it in check, and this is the time of year it’s the toughest for me every year. I’ve been intentionally taking care of my self (yay self care!), but that means less time online, more time focusing on caring for myself, and just downtime to figure out how to tackle what’s next.
Over that time The Centsible Life turned 7 years old, also known as granny old in internet years. That’s both amazingly long and so short. While my break did not signal an end to Centsible Life (no, it’s not going anywhere!) things are shifting. Some of those shifts will be evident (a new site design is coming soon), and some of them will be harder to see (removing content that’s irrelevant).
In the end it will be the same me (you know and love), but the site will have more focus, more content that’s meaningful for you, and deeper dives into topics you want to know more about.
And I’m started to get excited again. I’m starting to see all the things I thought I wanted to do in a bit of a different light, so that some things I thought were so important are falling away while others are taking center stage.
There will be a lot of announcements coming in the next few weeks-so I hope you’ll stay tuned.
Thanks for reading,
