Back to School Style

August 17, 2012 By Kelly Leave a Comment

It’s almost back to school here (WOOHOO!), and we’re planning to go through the kids clothes this weekend to make sure everyone has what they need. I shared my back to school tips at Budgetable yesterday, and one of my plans to save big is to reuse the spring/summer clothes the kids already have.

There will be a few gaps in what they need though, and I already know they will need new shoes (their feet grow way too fast!). Instead of sharing my style, I thought it would be fun to share the kids’ styles and some great sales I’ve bookmarked.

Aidan’s Style/Elementary Boy Style:

Aidan is ALL boy. He likes clothes that are comfortable for playing and prefers things with a little fun. He also likes dressing up sometimes, but more typically he’s running around and playing so he’s mostly in athletic type gear. Possibly with his shirt on backwards.

Audrey’s Style/Elementary Girl Style:

A bookworm and artist, Audrey doesn’t care much about fashion, but knows what she likes. Her style is very elementary school adorable. She occasionally allows us to put her hair up or encourage her to wear something like jeans, but more typically she’s in a dress, leggings and a shirt with her nose in a book.

Emma’s Style/ Tween Girl Style:

Emma is my little fashionista. When she was a toddler she was known for going into her closet and changing clothes several times a day. Now that she’s older she still does that, but instead of pink dresses (they HAD to be pink), now she mixes patterns, and accessorizes like no one’s business.

Nathan’s Style:

Nathan prefers plain clothes to anything else, so his style is very simple. Plain tees, comfy pants and pants, and sneakers. Not much to share here since it’s so basic, so I didn’t bother making a visual. đŸ˜‰

Gap Sales:
I found a few good sales if you’re in the market for back to school clothes or uniforms. Check them out below.

  • Shop Gap.com and save 30% off Kids Uniforms and Backpacks. Hurry, limited time only. Restrictions apply.
  • Shop Gap.com and save 25% of your purchase. Use code GAPFALL25 at checkout. Hurry, ends 8/18! Restrictions apply.

What are your kids’ styles? Are you buying them back to school clothes?
