Tech Savvy Mama- Parenting and technology meet in this great resource blog from Leticia Barr.
Lil Kid Things- Andrea’s blog is equal parts thought-provoking and fun. She’s navigating motherhood with two adorable boys in tow.
A Parenting Production- Part parenting advice, part personal posts Erin’s blog is a great read.
Lifestyle (a little bit of everything)
Musings of a Housewife- Meal planning, recipes, fashion, fitness, and more. Jo-Lynne is both down to Earth and put together at the same time.
Juliverse- Julie is one busy mother! Between PTO, meal planning, sports, vlogging, and more she’s busy, but still taken the time to create an informative and fun blog.
It’s My Life- As the title suggests this is all about Jessica’s life and experiences. Jessica is a writer, and that comes through in her posts.
ColoradoMoms- While Emily’s blog focuses on the Colorado area, she also shares everything from fashion posts to special needs parenting advice.
Resourceful Mommy- Amy’s blog includes smart posts on social media (she wrote the book!), life, Disney, and is a hub for her successful social media marketing business.
Type-A Parent- This is an online hub for parents that includes a weekly roundup of blog posts from around the internet, and is home to the Type-A Parent conference.
All Things Fadra- Fadra’s blog is all about her presumably, but since she is so open and funny, smart and savvy it’s like talking to her in person.
Social Media & Business
Blogging Basics 101- Melanie Nelson is someone you want to know and read. If you have any questions about blogging and particularly Facebook she is the go-to resource. Her posts are through and informative without being overly complicated and without ‘dumbing’ things down.
Social Dialect-Fadra gets two spots on this list since her take on social media lives on a different blog and is worth the clicks. She doesn’t always blog there regularly but you can’t overlook gems in her archives like ‘Why Bloggers Should Stop Promoting Each Other.’ (Yes, I see the irony here, folks.)
MomComm- Melissa is a great resource for all bloggers, don’t let the ‘mom’ in the name fool you. She provides great information and courses designed to help bloggers be better at their craft.
1099 Mom- Linsey Knerl is a powerhouse writer and blogger. She created 1099Mom for work at home moms and those who want to work at home. You’ll find all kinds of resources for managing your finances and family life on her website.
DIY/Home
Create, Celebrate, Explore by Tonya Staab- Tonya is a regular contributor to the site. Her own blog is full of crafts, DIY projects, printables and more with a focus on kid-friendly fun.
Manhattan Nest- Daniel doesn’t post often, but when he does I devour his blog posts. His current projects are fascinating enough-he and his partner Max renovating an amazing Victorian that was neglected in New York, but add in his hilarious and somewhat self-effacing writing style and you’ll be hooked. Just make sure you have some time on your hands before you click.
Untrained Housewife- Angela is an amazing person, and when you see the website she created you have to wonder ‘does she ever sleep?’ It’s not only chock full of great content on all kinds of household projects, recipes, and family life but she’s also the author of several books and numerous e-books all aimed at helping you live more self-sufficiently.
Home Ec 101- Heather’s blog is a a regular cornucopia of info you need. Whether she’s sharing the secret of how to get out stains or offering up delicious recipes you’ll find all kinds of useful info that will have you coming back again and again.
Mom Advice- {Full disclosure I am now a contributor to the site.} Amy Clark’s MomAdvice.com has been around for 10 years and is a resource for all things frugal and crafty. Amy presents DIY projects, crafts, and recipes with gorgeous photos and easy to understand instructions.
Young House Love-One young family’s DIY diary with tutorials, practical advice, and lots of fun. The Petersiks have a fun-loving style and lots of energy for DIY projects from kitchen makeovers and patios to smaller craft projects or DIY art.
Centsational Girl-Kate created a website full of inspiring eye candy for your home. Not only will you find fantastic DIY projects like turning IKEA bookcases into built-ins but she also includes decor whether it’s everyday or seasonally-based.
GOMom- Outsmart the clutter and chaos with Molly’s tips and videos. She will teach you how to organize everything with printables, a calendar, and tips and advice on taming even the most chaotic of spaces.
Money & Personal Finance
Living Well, Spending Less: Ruth’s blog has everything you would ever want in a money blog. Want to know how to coupon? She’s got you covered. Looking for thrifty ideas for parties or celebrations? Check. Need advice on saving money? She’s got it.
A Life in Balance- Barb is a mom that has plenty to do on her hands but somehow manages to create some amazing content centered on family and frugality. (She’s a lady after my own heart!)
WiseBread- As a former community manager for the site I know the people behind the site are awesome. They have a team that creates amazing frugality and personal finance content, and community manager Ashley runs a great Facebook page and weekly twitter chat (#wbchat) that will get you inspired to save more and spend less.
4 Hats Frugal- Amiyrah brings together her 4 favorite topics- family, fashion, food, and finance all centered on frugality. I’m a big fan of her fashion posts since they are always attainable and affordable fashion.
