GIANT’s Fresh Meal Kits

March 8, 2016 By Kelly

Sponsored post disclosure

You may have seen, tried, or heard of the slew of companies that now offer meal kits delivered to your door. You sign up with a subscription, select meals, and they arrive a few days or a week later with all the ingredients you need neatly packaged and no waste. There’s a lot to love about this type of meal subscription service, but for many of us they’re both prohibitively expensive and inconvenient. And you may be like me and forget to select the meals you want in time and end up being sent something you would never choose.

Well, now there’s a better solution from our friends at GIANT Food Stores.

GIANT Food Stores new innovative product-fresh meal kits are even better (and more affordable!). You can find these packaged kits in select stores that include everything you need for a meal with step by step instructions and no waste. Win-win-win!

The best part? You can pick out what you want when you’re doing your regular grocery shopping or pop in to pick out what you want same day. Or you can have them delivered via Peapod!

GIANT’s senior VP, Eric Keptner, shares “These new fresh meal kits are another innovative way we are helping (consumers) to save time and eat well.”

I couldn’t agree more. One a recent weeknight when I was pressed for time, but needed to pop by the store for a few items and find something for dinner. I noticed these fresh meal kits and found my solution for dinner that night at a budget I could get behind. I didn’t need to hunt down the ingredients in the store or look up a recipe online (which let’s face it may not turn out like Pinterest pretty as the images would suggest). I just grabbed the meal kit and was off. Well, after I picked up the milk we needed, too.

Everything you need to know about GIANT’s fresh meal kits:

How long do they take to cook?

The fresh meal kits take 35 minutes or less to cook, so these are quick and easy despite how amazingly complicated they sound.

What meals are available?

Current fresh meal kit offerings include:

  • Pan seared chicken breast with creamy mushroom sauce, garlic roasted green beans, and seasoned wild rice
  • Baked chicken parmesan with rosemary Yukon gold potato wedges and fresh ratatouille
  • Mini Italian style meatloaf with couscous and fresh vegetables
  • Peppercorn steak with creamy blue cheese sauce, chive mashed potatoes, and garlic roasted broccoli and cauliflower
  • Pan seared boneless pork chops with apple and honey mustard sauce, roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes.

Where can I get the fresh meal kits?

The fresh meal kits are available at select locations including Aldan, Aston, Blue Bell, Coppersburg, New Hope, Plymouth Meeting West Chester, and more.

I know what you’re thinking-you don’t have time to go to the store. Well guess what? You can also get them delivered by Peapod! Peapod delivers your groceries right to your door!

How much do they cost?

One kit contains two servings and costs $14.99. If you buy two kits (serving four) it’s only $24.99! It’s a great deal for everything you get already prepped and ready to cook, and cheaper than a mid-range resturant meal, but much higher quality.
