Halloween is coming soon, and Fall is definitely in the air in Philadelphia right now. What better time than now to share some fun and frugal Halloween craft projects? I rounded up a dozen crafts and DIY projects from local bloggers that the whole family can make. Butternut Squash Ghosts

Hillary at MyScraps shared this butternut squash ghost craft. It’s simple and adorable!

Glow in the dark slime

From USA Love List a funny and easy recipe to create your own glow in the dark slime! This would make a great craft for kids at home or for a Fall party at school, and all the ingredients are made in the USA.

Create simple Halloween decor using an upcycled bottle. This Halloween craft from Tonya is perfect for the mantel or centerpiece for a dining table.

DIY Twine Pumpkin

This is a chic craft that’s perfect for dressing up a pumpkin. These DIY twine pumpkins from Heather at Diapered Daze and Knights  would be adorable grouped on your kitchen counter or mantel.

Halloween Hanging Bat Craft

Melinda (Look What Mom Found) shares this simple and kid-friendly hanging bat craft.

Halloween Goodie Bags copy

For class parties or Fall birthdays these Halloween goodie bags from Hillary (My Scraps) would make any kid happy.

 

DIY Sequined Pumpkins

Carrie from Making Lemonade shares this DIY sequined pumpkin craft. This would be a great craft for girl’s night in and would really dress up a Fall display in your dining room or on the porch.

DIY Hanging Jack O'Lantern

These hanging jack o’lanterns are available from pricey retailers like Pottery Barn Kids, but Carrie from Making Lemonade made a cheaper version that you can make at home.

Unscary Decorations

Darla (HeartWork Organizing)shares some great decor ideas to get your house ready for Halloween without the scary factor. This is a great option for families with young kids.

Creating Halloween treat boxes is simple with egg cartons, a bit of paint, and some imagination thanks to Tonya’s simple tutorial.

Monster House

Two years ago we made a monster house out of our house, and it was such a fun and simple project. The results were really dramatic, and this is one we’ll definitely be repeating.

    Every time I see the spooky house, I think I need to do that. My kids are making plans and collecting supplies.
