It’s officially fall! It’s my favorite time of year. I love everything about about fall, and kind of wish it could stay this way forever. No matter the weather it’s nice to know (most) of the super hot days are behind us and the gorgeous cool fall weather is on its’ way in.
September Meal Plan: Week Four
Ready to start meal planning, but don’t know where to start?
Monday (September 21): Chili Lime Fish
I’m know it’s the first day of fall, but we’re trying to eat more fish, so this chili lime recipe is a welcome addition to the menu. It calls for tilapia, though you could try it with other types of fish that are similar.
Tuesday (September 22): Steak Sandwiches
Bob used to be a cook, so he knows how to make a mean steak sandwich. We serve them up on Schar gluten-free buns, a great big salad, and a side of homemade fries.
Wednesday (September 23):
Thursday (September 24): Taco Night
Taco Thursday? Yes, indeed. There’s no wrong night to have tacos. Taco beef, cilantro rice, black beans, homemade guacamole, and all the fixings.
Friday (September 25): Appetizer Night
Every once in a while I like to serve up an appetizer/tapas night. My parents used to do this when I was a kid and I loved it! I was never a big traditional dinner eater so this was my favorite. Serving up cheeses, crackers, salami, olives, veggies and dip, fruit and yogurt dip, and more.
Saturday (September 26): Clean out the fridge night
We’ll work on cleaning out the fridge of all the leftovers and foods that need to be eaten up before they go bad. It’s a great way to reduce waste. Read about how we reduce food waste at home here.
Sunday (September 27): Stir Fry
Stir fry night is my favorite! We get to choose what goes in our custom-made stir fry, and I always choose ALL the veggies. Snow peas, broccoli, carrots, onions, and more. The must-have? A sprinkling of ginger and garlic. YUM.
What’s on your menu this week?
