I joined Problogger’s 31 Days to a Better Blog Challenge and received the first email today. Darren Rowse suggests that you write an elevator pitch for your site, and also a condensed version which could be your tagline.
I have to admit that when I started this blog I started it without much of a plan, or any idea what I was doing. I have been learning new things every day, and the idea of having an elevator pitch is very appealing to me. It made me focus on what I want to accomplish, and will hopefully help new readers get to know me.

My Elevator Pitch
My name is Kelly Whalen, I’m a mom of 4 blogging about family life, organization, and finances. Follow me on my journey to get debt-free and make our money work for us. I will share my tricks for organizing our big & busy household, as well as frugal parenting tips.
My Tagline
Making Cents of Family Life.
If I were to meet someone in person I would probably say something like this,
I blog about personal finance, organization, and family life. My goal is to inspire other families to take charge of their finances and make their money work for them. By planning ahead we give ourselves more time for our children, and more freedom to live our life the way we want.

Pablo, I know it’s hard to find time, especially when your priority is to find time for your family. I tend to blog in the morning while the kids are waking up (after our oldest daughter and the hubby are off to school), it takes me awhile to wake up. 🙂 I also stay up a bit late. I make up for it by going to bed early one or two days a week.
Love your blog MB. Especially the design! I’m drooling over here!
Maybe we should be 31 Days buddies? It’ll be a good way to stay on track. 🙂

I like your elevator pitch…well done. It’s not too far off what my blog is about, although mine has a little twist. I have signed up for this too (thanks for the tip!) so guess I need to work on my pitch.
My blog is new and I’m still sort of figuring it all out. Maybe you could check it out and tell me what you think.
And let me in on how you have time for it all with 4 kids! I only have two and it’s a struggle.

Well done, I see your post is routed, I ´m still drifting to understand what are the categories that keep the motivation for writing when there is little time (and the only options I get is while I travel to work or if I sleep less and wake up much earlier to read and write. Keep the good work. pablofranzo
