Gluten Free Thanksgiving Menu

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so it’s time to get busy planning. Whether you’re hosting just your family or a huge extended family gathering these menus will help you plan your Turkey Day menu. One is a traditional menu and the other is our family’s spin on the holiday this year.

Gluten-Free Traditional Thanksgiving Menu

Appetizers

  • Cheese plate with dried fruit, spiced nuts, and gluten-free crackers. Cranberry goat cheese is a great choice.
  • Fresh veggies with dip or fruit kebabs for the kids.

The main: Perfect Turkey brining optional {recipe from Martha Stewart}

Sides

  • Easy Homemade Cranberry Sauce {recipe from Savory Sweet Life}
  • Gluten-Free Stuffing {use Udi’s in place of bread in your favorite recipe}
  • Green beans
  • Pear and Cranberry Salad {Mix red leaf lettuce with diced pear, dried cranberries, and optionally goat cheese.}
  • Gluten-free Rolls from Udi’s

Dessert: Gluten-free Pumpkin Pie with homemade whipped cream and Ice Cream

Drinks:

  • Warm Apple Cider
  • Flavored Water (Cranberry Clementine or Apple Cinnamon)
  • White Cranberry Apple Cosmo
  • Wine
  • Coffee and tea for dessert

Gluten-free Thanksgiving Brunch

Mains:

  • Gluten-free French Toast {Udi’s cinnamon raisin is the best} or Gluten-free Pancakes {add chocolate chips, berries, or nuts}
  • Gluten-free Muffins {Chocolate and Blueberry are my favorite} or Scones {recipe from King Arthur Flour}
  • Scrambled Eggs with sea salt and parsley or Omelet with goat cheese and spinach
  • Perfect Turkey Breasts {Use recipe for Perfect Chicken Breasts}

Sides:

  • Sausage and Bacon {Look for nitrate-free versions like Applegate.}
  • Easy Homemade Cranberry Sauce {recipe from Savory Sweet Life}
  • Cheese tray {Create your own with cheese from Trader Joe’s for a frugal and fun mix.}
  • Fruit Tray
  • Harvest Salad {Mix read leaf lettuce with apples, dried cranberries, candied pecans, and goat cheese.}

Drinks:

  • Apple Cider
  • Wine White Cranberry Apple Cider Cosmo
  • Coffee and/or tea
  • Fresh Orange Juice
  • Homemade flavored water

Dessert: Gluten-free Pumpkin Pie with homemade whipped cream, gluten-free cookies (try Udi’s snickerdoodles or ginger cookies), and ice cream.
