Have you guys met my dog, Tundra? He’s been the ‘baby’ of the family for the last 18 months and he’s quite possibly my favorite child most days. I mean, look at that face! His personality is sweet, and he’s a total people person. If you scratch his belly you’ll be his BFF for life.
Since he’s a member of the family we treat him just like the rest of us. He needs healthy food, plenty of exercise, gentle discipline, and lots of love (and pets).
When it comes to his diet we’re rather picky. He’s our baby after all, and we want him to be healthy and happy for a long time to come.
As part of my partnership with GIANT Food Stores I learned that they recently launched their exclusive Companion Wholesome Formula line of pet food. Tundra even got to sample it! He loved it, and we love what’s in it….or rather what’s not.
Companion Wholesome Formula includes more than 25 items including dog treats, and a variety of dry and wet food for both dogs and cats are now available at all GIANT Food Stores locations.
This nutritious, high-quality food is made in North America, so you can ensure it’s safe for your furry friend. Additionally, it is made with real meat and plenty of the good stuff like Omega 3s.
What doesn’t it have?
- No soy
- No wheat
- No corn
- No chicken by-products
- No artificial flavors
- No artificial colors
- No artificial preservatives
The Companion Wholesome Formula line includes:
- chicken breast jerky tenders
- chicken and brown rice
- lamb and rice
- turkey and vegetables
- and more
We give the ingredients list a big two thumbs up from choosey pet parents and two paws up from our favorite pup. He’s a big, BIG fan of the jerky tenders. He loved these SO much!
Look for Companion Wholesome Formula line at your local GIANT Food Store.

Great question! GIANT makes it-but I don’t know if they’re subcontracting from another pet food brand. I can ask! As for where it’s made-it’s all sourced and made in the US and Canada (North America).

I noticed this new line of food in the store recently and was intrigued by it. I am fussy about what I feed my dogs. So, I’m wondering do you know who manufactures this new line of dog food for Giant? and what country are the ingredients from and processed in? I’m anxious to hear and may plan to try it soon.
