Gifts that Give Back

December 2, 2014 By Kelly Leave a Comment

Gifts that give back are the greatest gifts. They not only allow you to find that perfect something for someone, but they also give back to others in need. It’s a great way to do both when you’re on a limited budget and find wats to five back even more if you’re already in the #GivingTuesday mood.

Heart of Haiti

These gorgeous products are made by Haiti artisans and funds are used to help Haiti rebuild. I received the tobacco leaf tray as a sample from Heart of Haiti. It’s perfect for an afternoon snack and a cup of tea or just to dress up your dresser.

You can shop for Heart of Haiti product in-store at these 14 Macy’s locations

  • Macy’s Herald Square
  • Brooklyn Downtown
  • Metro Center
  • Chicago State Street
  • Northland Center
  • Seattle Downtown
  • Portland Downtown
  • San Francisco Union Square
  • Biltmore Fashion Park
  • South Coast Plaza Home
  • Mission Valley Home
  • Dallas Galleria
  • Lenox Square Mall
  • Dadeland Mall

Counter Culture Coffee

Counter Culture will collect a nickel per pound of all coffees sold—including the 2014 Holiday Coffee—to fund forthcoming coffee-growing community betterment initiatives through their SEEDS program (Sustaining Environmental and Educational Development at Source)

Ribbon Barrettes for Cystic Fibrosis

My friend Leticia‘s daughter started raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis because her best friend has cystic fibrosis. Emily creates amazing ribbon barrettes and the proceeds go to research to help find a cure for CF via the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). You can buy individual barrettes, custom order your favorite colors or get a pack like a Frozen pack or a Minecraft pack!

Warby Parker

Warby Parker sells glasses and sunglasses (with a RX or not), for every pair purchased they will give a pair to someone in need.

Toms

Toms shoes are not only fashionable they give back. When you buy shoes (or any of their other products) Toms will give a pair to a child who needs shoes. You can also buy their limited edition collection at Target.
