Easy Guacamole Recipe: Three Ingredients

July 23, 2012 By Kelly 39 Comments

Guacamole may be my favorite food ever, and this super simple recipe means it’s an easy treat for me to make for a gathering or just for me. I’m fortunate that no one else in my house loves it, which means more for me! Making guacamole is super simple with this recipe, just three ingredients, and it takes less than 5 minutes.

Easy Guacamole Recipe: Three Ingredients

Ingredients

  • One firm, but ripe avocado
  • Half a lime
  • Garlic Salt

Instructions

  1. Use a (butter) knife to slice avocado in half
  2. Remove pit use end of sharp knife
  3. Scoop avocado halves into bowl
  4. Using your butter knife and a fork slice and smoosh your avocado to desired consistency (I prefer slightly chunky but creamy)
  5. Squeeze half of lime on avocado
  6. Sprinkle on garlic salt to taste

Notes

For variations you can try:

-adding small amount of prepared salsa

-use minced garlic and sea salt in place of garlic salt

-spice it up with some chile pepper or chiles

-add minced onions and tomatoes

They are SO good for you! I buy the packs at our local grocery store or Trader Joe’s. $4 for 4 avocados isn’t too bad especially when you eat them as much as I do!

Wow, what a simple recipe! If I had know it was that easy to make guac, I wouldn’t have had our avocado tree cut down. LOL!

I love avocados and guacamole. I’ve never used garlic salt when making guac but I might have to give it a try.

I think avocados should have their own food group. I would eat them every day if they weren’t so expensive!
